Introduction

In January 2019, Institute of Technology Blanchardstown (ITB), Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), and Institute of Technology Tallaght (ITT) will join to form the Technological University Dublin (TU4Dublin). These three college will be the first IT university in Ireland. ITB is about to start a new adventure with DIT and ITT, this website project will have a page about where we can go back and look at where we’ve come from and reflect on ITB’s journey to get to where we are now. The mission of the Institute is to continue to serve its students and the community by meeting the skills needs in the economy and increasing the level of participation in higher education and training. ITB vision will be part of TU4Dublin and will be nationally recognised as a leader in providing high-quality higher education.

The main purpose of the website is to give in detail about the history of ITB and how and what it came from. Showing what and the importance of ITB. Also, telling the story of ITB and the focus is on the history of the college and its campus. Looking at the history from what it was before until what it is now and will be in the future.

It will also talk about the history of ITB Library, how and when it was first built. It also have information you didn't know about ITB Library. These information was from the Librarian and Assistant Librarin. They talk about the past, present and the future of ITB Library. ITB would like to achieve the high standards of relevance and quality in teaching, research, development and consultancy. They would also like to offer a welcoming and supportive environment to students from all educational and social backgrounds and to adults wishing to increase or update their level of skills.
